Year 7 and 8 close open

Computing taught in Year 7 and 8 is vibrant and will prepare students for GCSE subjects across the school and for the digital world we live in.

Students will develop skills through focussed integrated projects each lasting a term, where they will need to think creatively and apply their use of software to real life situations they may encounter outside of school.

In Computing lessons students will build on skills learnt previously on computers at home and in primary school and will be given opportunities to develop literacy, numeracy and independent learning skills. a variety of teaching strategies are used in our purpose built, modern computer suites and students will not need to share as there are a variety of 30 machines on each room.
