North East Learning Trust

Easington Academy and The Academy at Shotton Hall are looking to come together to form an exciting new multi academy trust – The North East Learning Trust. Multi-academy trusts exist across the country where schools have joined forces, working together to develop the educational opportunities they offer their children.

The formation of the North East Learning Trust would see our existing close bond with Shotton Hall formalised and further expanded to include a range of schools, all of us working together with a shared vision and shared values for our children. Both of our schools already work closely together through the local teaching school alliance and we are also national support schools, accustomed to working across the region and sharing our expertise with other schools.

North East Learning Trust schools will retain their own identity, securing their established place within their communities whilst contributing to the success of all schools in the Trust.

Governors, trustees and staff are enthusiastic at the prospect of working in closer collaboration with like minded schools. In coming together, we are seeking to improve the range of opportunities available to our young people as well as supporting other schools on their own journeys to success.

As we develop the North East Learning Trust we will post regular updates and information on our respective school websites, social media and the dedicated Trust website www.nelt.co.uk

If you have any questions at this stage you can contact the Academy using our email address -  easington@durhamlearning.net
